Since sys-apps/portage-2.1.10.41 is being stablized (bug #394695), app-portage/portage-utils-0.8 should also be stabilized due to bug 394457.

bug 394457 didn't have anything to do with the stabilization of portage.  the 0.7 ebuild had a bug where EPREFIX defaulted to "" instead of "/".

oh, i guess you meant Bug 395315 (which is really Bug 307625).  i happened to fix that independently for the 0.8 release.

i don't have a problem with stabilizing 0.8 for that.  there's quite a bit of new code in there though, so stuff might break.  but if it does, it just means we lack test coverage and so it'll force us to add more ;).

Don't rush.
CONFIG_PROTECT="-*" in /etc/make.conf causes an infinite loop during parsing.
