The parallel from moreutils is extremely functionally restricted. GNU parallel provides a full-featured, well-maintained replacement, and over time will become part of the core Linux CLI toolkit and be expected to be callable as "parallel". Possible actions are: - Rename the executable in sys-process/parallel back to parallel, and instead rename the one in moreutils to moreutils-parallel - Create an eselect module, to choose between the alternatives
Is there a timeframe when GNU parallel will become part of Linux CLI toolkit? Any reference? I am reluctant to create an eselect module or rename it at the moment.
