@gnome, could someone please explain/justify the crazy "gnome" USE flag situation in gnome-applets? The flag adds lots of dependencies RDEPEND but is not used anywhere else in the ebuild, and building with USE=-gnome obviously results in automagic (for C libraries) and runtime-unsatisfied (for python stuff) dependencies.

I think we should drop that "gnome" USE flag and pull in that automagic deps always
