This spurious message appears in after the emerge.  It would have been helpful if the message specified who "we" was.

 *   We've already been run in this tree; you should
 *   avoid this if possible (perhaps by filing a bug)

1. emerge -v irssi irssistats irssi-otr irssi-xmpp

Actual Results:  
Message above.

Expected Results:  
Clean install.

Please attach the build log to this bug report for the package that gave out that notice.

Unfortunately there is no build log. Just that message from the emerge of set of packages I listed above.
