Description John Huttley 2011-12-13 05:11:58 UTC
unicode is not setup up on the system, attempting to emerge app-misc/ca-certificates-20111025 generates and error.
The text refers to http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/guide-localization.html

Actually that's a 404. Its now .xml

Reproducible: Always

Did you know that New Zealand have just won cricket test against Australia on their home ground for the first time since 1989?

post some actual error messages. saying "it generates an error" is useless.
Comment 3 John Huttley 2011-12-18 05:41:42 UTC
The error is irrelevant, other than it had an incorrect URL in the text.
I set up unicode and it went away.

I'm not reporting the error. The error is just fine.
I'm reporting a typo in the text, which refers to a link that doesn't exist. (its xml not html)

I've looked at the ebuild and can't figure if the typo is part of the ebuild system or in the .deb
Comment 4 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2011-12-21 00:02:01 UTC
you still haven't posted any actual logs as asked. the ca-certificates ebuild never has (and still does not) contain any references to any guide on gentoo.org servers. and the debian archive wouldn't refer to any documentation on gentoo.org.
