http://hotwayd.sourceforge.net/ says: This release adds a couple of new features. First one is the ability to mark messages as read on the HTTPMail server when they are downloaded (enabled by using the -r flag). The second one is the ability to specify who can access your hotwayd server. If you wish to use this feature then make a file containing a whitespace separated list of (case sensitive) full email addresses and use the flag -a followed by the file name. If a user tries to login with an email address that doesn't exist in this list then hotwayd will return an error message and not make any contact with the HTTPMail server. More details are available on the hotwayd man page. More code cleanups have been made along with better modularisation and work continues towards a first release of hotimap and w32hotwayd. The releases before this were mostly bugfixes and didn't have any new features. A couple comments about my ebuild: * "make install" now works without trying to install libghttp. * I changed the server_args line in hotwayd.xinetd. Hotwayd doesnt have an '-s' option.

I think we should move to hotwayd-0.8 or this ebuild, both work, hotwayd-0.5.3 does NOT seem to function at all anymore.
in portage and stable. Thanks.
