Description Justus Ranvier 2011-12-11 07:03:32 UTC
When rpc.idmapd starts up it reports the following error even with the host name correctly set in /etc/idmapd.conf:

rpc.idmapd: libnfsidmap: Unable to determine the NFSv4 domain; Using 'localdomain' as the NFSv4 domain which means UIDs will be mapped to the 'Nobody-User' user defined in /etc/idmapd.conf

Without correct user name mapping all files in mounted filesystems show up as owned by the nobody user.

Reproducible: Always

Comment 1 Justus Ranvier 2011-12-11 07:04:59 UTC
I meant to say domain setting in the title.
Comment 2 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-12-11 12:14:10 UTC
You can actually alter the Summary (title) after filing the bug report.
Comment 3 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2012-05-17 05:41:48 UTC
should be fixed in 1.2.6
