Since updating few days ago, Gpdf has been rendering some PDFs blank (or mostly blank, with just some tiny lines on the page). It seems like this is not related to Gpdf itself; it occurred when doing an 'emerge -u world' where Gpdf itself was not upgraded. The PDF in the URL is an example of the described behaviour. This did not used to happen; i.e. the PDF in that URL used to render fine in Gpdf. This is a regression. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Download the PDF in the URL provided. 2.Open it in Gpdf from ~x86. Actual Results: The PDF appears mostly blank, with a few little lines on the page. Expected Results: The PDF should be rendered correctly. It is several pages of quite simple text, generated with LaTeX. LaTeX-generated PDFs generally render quite well in Gpdf. Recent upgrade to Gpdf-0.111 did not help. This problem remains. I have also upgrade pdflib and Xpdf to no avail (IIRC Gpdf has the parts of Xpdf it uses in its own tree so that doesn't matter too much).
i can reproduce it .. probably an upstream bug tho.
ggv does render it correctly
This is still a problem in 0.131, I'll file a bug upstream.
khai : where is the link to the upstream bugreport ?
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139674 http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112506 This is apparently a known issue, and they are working on fixing it.
