Description ferret 2004-01-25 20:12:55 UTC
Everything in gentoo seems to use devfs names where possible... in theory, at
least. Since the small programs in the bootsplash package don't, they don't run
on my system ;)

This patch fixes that by trying /dev/fb/0 followed by /dev/fb0. I'm quite
willing to change the patch to apply a commandline argument instead, though.

bootsplash-devfsnames.patch

I have tried this on -r3 and -r4, with success in both cases.

Included in bootsplash-0.6-r5. I also added devfs support to the 'progress' app.
