Description Emmanuel Andry 2011-12-08 20:14:31 UTC
I had a broken system with this update. My user wasn't a wheel member, and after the conf-update, gdm crashed miserably.
This was caused by replacing 0 with wheel in /etc/polkit-1/localauthority.conf.d/50-localauthority.conf

Reproducible: Always

I also add, as root :
- broken tty1 :no bash-completion, CTRL keys dead
- works normally on other tty
Comment 2 Emmanuel Andry 2011-12-08 20:29:14 UTC
I made a double fix, because I needed mys system :
- added my user as a wheel group member
- replaced back wheel with 0 in /etc/polkit-1/localauthority.conf.d/50-localauthority.conf

I didn't have the time to check whick modification was the real fix...

I'm sorry but this isn't enough information to process the bug. GDM is working fine here, and user belonging to any group doesn't have anything to do with it.

That fair ! I can't give more infos. I just opened this bug for users experiencing this problem. If I'm the only one, that's nice !
