(weird ascii string at the start)

btw, how did those metadata.xml files get generated? it seems like some tool, what is it? someone needs to tell the author of the tool to fix the output.

oops, strike the anaglyph-stereo-quake one, it was something with my checkout .. weird ..
Comment 2 Brandon Hale (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-24 07:00:50 UTC
I fixed the problems, where accurate.. one or two have been fixed since you cvs up'd. These were generated by a script I wrote at d.g.o/~tseng/metadata, and was used to create metadata for most of x11-misc. Most of it was fine.. it was a one time use kinda thing and im not interested in fixing the script, however everything should be straight now on my side.

Thanks for the report!

Comment 4 Alastair Tse (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-02-01 03:57:52 UTC
tseng, i think the problem is that "einfo" line in your script. last time seemant used your script to generate quite a alot of invalid metadata files.

could you maybe redirect the einfo line to stdout, so something like:

einfo "Generating metadata.xml" 1>&2

ryan, can you please check the metadata.xml for app-misc/note. it's malformed XML.
