Description Aljosha Papsch 2011-11-28 15:20:53 UTC
Whenever I try to exit Fluxbox, the applications running get killed (including Fluxbox's panel), but the fluxbox process itself stays. Manual intervention by switching to virtual console and killing the process is needed.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start fluxbox either with startx or DM.
2. Choose "Fluxbox menu->Exit" from Fluxbox's menu
Actual Results:
All processes get killed, but not fluxbox process. I can only see my wallpaper. The mouse pointer is movable. ps ax says Rd for status.

Expected Results:
Fluxbox should exit normally, resulting in dropping to the shell or DM.

OK, I was wrong. The other processes do not get killed every time, moreover they prevent fluxbox from exiting. But that's not always the case: I have idesk running and sometimes I get out to the DM, sometimes not.
I could of course add an icon to idesk so that it just kills fluxbox, but maybe there's a nicer solution?

Which version is that?

This occurred in 1.3.1. The last update on ~x86 from 1.3.1 to 1.3.2 solved the problem. Exiting Fluxbox is no problem anymore.
