Confirming. After wake up the LCD monitor is not working, but it is possible to press Ctrl-Alt-F1, login as root and reboot laptop. After LCD starts working. I had to rollback to nvidia-drivers-275.09.07
Comment 2 Simon Haegler 2011-12-29 19:49:45 UTC
observed the same problem with 290.10
Comment 3 John W. Newman 2012-01-15 21:52:12 UTC
I can also confirm this with 290.10 .. same setup has always worked fine with 275.09.07, which for now I've downgraded to.

However unlike comment #1, I am not able to use ctrl+alt+f1 or even any of the alt+sysrq keys. The machine is deadlocked at a black screen and I have to use the power button.

I also didn't see anything when I was pressing ctrl+alt+f1. But the system was switched because I could put login and password and then reboot command and it worked.

I can also confirm this bug, however it only hapaned to me with version 290.10.
It causes the X serverto hang durring resume. I examined the cause a little bit looking at the Xorg log, it seems that durring reusme the driver has a problem setting back the resolution, just after "Setting mode "nvidia-auto-select" " appears an error, WAIT with numbers (0,0,0x87d) not sure about the numbers. after that the system isn't recoverable, i'm only able to reboot with Alt+sysreq+b

I also noticed that with the newest testing version of driver 295.20, this dose not happen any more, i will keep testing but it looks like the new driver solvees the problem,

I would suggest to mark the driver as stable
Comment 6 John W. Newman 2012-03-23 03:41:33 UTC
Also somehow fixed for me with the upgrade to 295.20.

3.2.1-gentoo-r2
xorg-server-1.11.2-r2

thanks
