itstool has LICENSE="freedist", according to the source package it's GPL-3.

No, it has LICENSE="GPL-3 freedist", meaning that the package contains a mixture of files, some of which licensed as GPL-3, and others as freedist.

However, I must thank you for drawing attention to this, because after re-reading the package's COPYING file, it appears that "freedist" part is indeed wrong.

Here is the relevant quote from COPYING:

> This program is free software: you can redistribute it and/or modify
> it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by
> the Free Software Foundation, either version 3 of the License, or
> (at your option) any later version.

At the time when I added the package, I was under the mistaken impression that "copy, modify, and distribute without restriction" is, in terms of Gentoo's licenses/ directory, referred to as "freedist". However, in fact, "freedist" means "*distribute* with no restriction"; it grants no right to modify (and is therefore not in the FREE-SOFTWARE license group).

I have therefore changed the LICENSE string to the more appropriate "GPL-3 as-is".
