Animations are set as "enabled", but in fact they are disabled.
konqueror-3.2.0-beta2 used to work.

Animation seems to work here

animated gifs only play one time.  it's a known bug and is filed with the kde people.

should be fixed in 3.2.0 (there's a patch for it in portage)
