Carsten, please check the status of your mirror. It is 5 days stale and in the main distfiles.gentoo.org rotation so priority is high. Thanks in advance.
/gentoo or /gentoo-portage?
(In reply to comment #1) > /gentoo or /gentoo-portage? distfiles seems to indicate /gentoo, looking into it.
(In reply to comment #0) > Carsten, please check the status of your mirror. It is 5 days stale and in the > main distfiles.gentoo.org rotation so priority is high. Thanks in advance. What exactly is missing/old/wrong? The log files do not indicate any error (I would have gotten an e-mail about that). Furthermore, I do see actual file transfers. As an example, I see snapshots/portage-latest.tar.bz2 -> portage-20111122.tar.bz2 from the run this night at 4am. PS: Please use ftp@halifax.rwth-aachen.de for further reports, since I am not the only one administrating this machine.
> snapshots/portage-latest.tar.bz2 -> portage-20111122.tar.bz2 ...where portage-20111122.tar.bz2 does not exist. Please check your mirror (masterdistfiles-eu.gentoo.org) for that file. I am unable to connect to it currently, which might be related to this issue (the last rsync run from half an hour ago worked fine, though - no file was transferred).
It just takes a while... $ rsync -av -n --progress rsync://gentoo@masterdistfiles-eu.gentoo.org/gentoo/snapshots/ /pub/gentoo/snapshots/ Welcome to kea.gentoo.org / masterdistfiles-eu.gentoo.org Server Address : 194.116.84.30 Contact Name : mirror-admin@gentoo.org Hardware : 4 x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU 5130 @ 2.00GHz, 5981MB RAM Sponsor : Torino Piemonte Internet eXchange (TOP-IX), Torino, Italy, EU This is a restricted master rsync mirror for the Gentoo Linux free software project. Our fault, indeed. Discussed with Carsten on IRC, more details coming with gentoo-mirros ML.
