Users are misunderstanding the 'UNCONFIRMED' state like devs pretend the bug not to exist. Do we have any real benefit from it? If not, then please just drop it, merge with CONFIRMED or rename both to OPEN or sth like that.

It just means that devs so *we* have not yet confirmed this bug so it has not yet been reproduced or so. UNCONFIRMED was the replacement for the NEW status.
I don't think we'll remove it.
