kde-misc/plasma-mpd-nowplaying-0.2 will not compile without media-libs/libmpdclient-2.6 installed. The ebuild should depend on libmpdclient.

I don't know about the version, but it should probably (R)DEPEND on media-libs/libmpdclient to begin with. :)
