Description Christian Ruppert (idl0r) gentoo-dev 2011-11-11 16:21:04 UTC
Some stuff has been deprecated in cherrypy-3.1 and moved into the tools repository in 3.2 and above.

It would be good to add the tools to the tree as well and probably even add a dependency to it for cherrypy itself.

See e.g. https://bitbucket.org/cherrypy/cherrypy/wiki/UpgradeTo32

Yes, for infra stuff please :-)

The link of $URL does not provide the package source. I spent circa a half hour trying to find it and still never found it. Provide the tarball or a live repo and I can make an ebuild. I was linked to source repos of alternate name so I don't know what or where it is.

I can't find that repo anymore either :-(.

tidy, nsgmls are the tools that were supposed to be moved; but I don't have a clone of the old SVN either.

I think ok to close as RESO/UPSTREAM for now, and it's time to start considering packages.g.o as obsolete, needing replacement (per the IRC discussion I had yesterday in #gentoo-dev).
