the xfs-sources version 2.4.24-r0 contain freeswan-2.03 patches, although 2.04 is available for quite some time (both from freeswan team and from portage as ebuild for the userspace programs)

Sadly the 2.03 kernel space ipsec won't work together with 2.04 userspace programs and vice versa. that's why I file this as a bug

will update freeswan today, have few other tweaks to fix anyway

According to the ChangeLog, this is fixed in -r1. Thanks, Bob.
