the xfs-sources 2.4.24-r0 don't contain the ECC and PREEMPT patches, although earlier versions contained them and the changelog says they still should be included.

argh, your right, ecc was left out.. fixing now
preempt will no longer be added to xfs-sources, will 
update Changelog

no preempt? :-( without my box is close to unusable. What is the reason you will not include it anymore?

xfs-sources only contains stable patchs, as preempt is
considered questionable on 2.4 it will be removed. It was only
in one version.

2.4.24 should have quite a bit better "feel" to it then vanilla
2.4.20

I switched from 2.4.20-xfs-r2 with preempt to 2.4.24-xfs-r0 and it feels like somebody stole my cpu and replaced it with a pocket calculator.

Anyway, is there a *-sources available on gentoo with xfs, freeswan & preempt (or the preempt patch available as seperate ebuild)?
