libmsn 4.2 is out and appears to be necessary to actually connect to MSN successfully in Kopete at least. It's a trivial version bump; the only ebuild change required is dropping the OpenSSL 1.0.0 patch that's already merged upstream. Could someone please bump this? I suspect this probably wants to go into stable too. There's only a single upstream change other than the OpenSSL patch so no point in backporting.
I'm having the exact same issue. Renaming the ebuild to libmsn-4.2.ebuild and removing/commenting the PATCHES line fixes the connection problem. So it turns out that in libmsn 4.2, xmlParser.h is now included by one of the headers Kopete uses - and since it's not actually installed by libmsn this breaks Kopete compilation. The attached patch adds xmlParser.h to the list of headers that are installed.
