This works fine for me. Sounds like the file just wasn't on the mirror you were using. Can you double check your mirrors and find out which one is missing the file (or give us the mirror list so we can check)?
It _is_ on the gentoo mirrors, but the actual SRC_URI on ftp.perl.org doesn't work.

Confirmed to not be available any more. Going to cc the archs on this bug until it is cleared across the board.
Sparc: We need 5.8.2 cleared for sparc. 5.8.0 is no longer valid at the SRC.
PPC: We need 5.8.2 cleared for sparc. 5.8.0 is no longer valid at the SRC.
Alphas: We need 5.8.2 cleared for sparc. 5.8.0 is no longer valid at the SRC.
Sorry for all the repition, folks.
stable on ppc for almost 2 weeks already
About the same for sparc, marked stable for a couple of weeks now.
Excluding the explitives that I just issued locally - it appears my cvs tree was completely whacked and out of sync. Sparc, PPC, my apologies. Marius: Since 5.8.2 is now the stable, any reason to keep this open? We'll be cleaning out the old 5.8.0 ebuilds this week I suspect.
Removed from tree this morning.
