Description aditsu 2011-11-08 10:00:05 UTC
I run libreoffice, and it says it has a document to recover. I click "start recovery" and it's successful. Next -> it opens a writer window with the recovered document. Now I press ctrl-s to save it, it brings up a save dialog and then immediately crashes.
This is what I can see in the console:
% libreoffice
Warning: failed to launch javaldx - java may not fuction correctly
QPainter::begin: Paint device returned engine == 0, type: 2
QPainter::setCompositionMode: Painter not active
QPainter::begin: Paint device returned engine == 0, type: 2
Failed to create XIC

Reproducible: Always

Comment 1 aditsu 2011-11-08 10:01:36 UTC
Note: the document had not been saved before, it's an "untitled" one.
Comment 2 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-11-08 21:55:07 UTC
I can't reproduce it with trunk or 3.4.4.2, lets wait to tomorow when we do the release and I unmask it and see if it is really fixed on 3.4.4 :)
Comment 3 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-11-10 20:44:22 UTC
So since it is in testing tree please try the 3.4.4.2-r1 version and lemme know if it still has the issue.
Comment 4 David 2012-02-09 03:48:43 UTC
LibreOffice 3.4.3.2-r1 does not crash for me, when it tries to save a recovered document.

Since original bug reporter has not responded to request for info (3 months ago), can this bug be closed?
Comment 5 aditsu 2012-02-09 04:37:25 UTC
Hmm.. I also can't reproduce it anymore, maybe I did something that fixed it in the meantime.
I haven't responded because 3.4.3.2-r1 is still the latest libreoffice-bin in portage.
Anyway, feel free to close the bug, I'll reopen if it happens again.
