Description Bret Towe 2004-01-21 20:40:45 UTC
aalib is listed as a normal dep it would be nice if it was under a use flag
so it wouldnt have to be installed

seems to compile and run fine without it
Comment 1 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-21 20:42:01 UTC
I believe we have an already existing USE flag for aalib too
Comment 2 Jan Schubert 2004-02-08 03:03:08 UTC
Yes, it is set by default. You should try USE=-aalib...
Comment 3 Bret Towe 2004-02-08 10:15:34 UTC
i did thats why i filed this bug report ;)
the ebuild lacks the aalib use flag in it

xine-ui-0.9.23.ebuild

here is an updated ebuild with the added use flag
needed to get rid of aalib in the dep list

0.9.23-r2 will have this optional, thanks for the hint. There was some ugly hack necessary to disable it if aalib is installed but you don't want to use it.
