Since yesterday, many Linux IMs stopped working because of recent Microsoft changes to MSN urls etc. -r2 contains a patch found on http://kmess.org/board/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=20549 which fixes the problem (for me). Please emerge this package and make sure your contact list appears as it should. Thanks
missing arches?
amd64 ok
Seems there are some regressions. Lets wait a bit
The r2-path did not fix the issue with the contact list for me, but I just tried this one: http://lekensteyn.nl/files/kmess/follow-location-redirects.patch from http://kmess.org/board/viewtopic.php?p=32892#p32892 and to my surprise, I actually managed to modify the patch and ebuild and it indeed works for me at least. This at amd64.
Oh I was supposed to add that I built it without the kmess-2.0.6-contact-list.patch now when testing the follow-location-redirects.patch.
Markos latest -r3 version on amd64, works perfect for me, no login or contact list retrieval problems. Thank you mate. ;)
Lets try -r3 instead. Arches please test and stabilize =net-im/kmess-2.0.6-r3 Fixes login/contact list problems in MSN service. There is a potential bug in group chats but since upstream is dead it is highly unlikely for that to be fixed in the near future. Thanks
I see my contacts, seems ok on amd64.
amd64: pass
