I get the following during the bootstrapping process:

IOError: [Errno 2] No such file odr directory:

I get the following during the bootstrapping process:

IOError: [Errno 2] No such file odr directory:
´/var/tmp/portage/baselayout-1.7.9-r1/build-info/COUNTER´

I then get many other IOErrors and then everything locks hard.

try setting your system's date with date -s , there seems to be some wierdness
with the 1.2 ISO kernel and the rtc not working always, which stops you with
this problem.  This fixed things up for several ppc users in the gentoo forums.

I already used the stage3 tarball that I got from the forums. I will have to see
if I can get my hands on another system to try the date trick...
