The bttv driver got ab bug in the new 0.9 series (kernel 2.6), it causes tv applications either to crash or you just get a black screen.

The 0.7 series (included in the 2.4 Kernel series) works just fine.

We can't do much here as this is an upstream bug with BTTV in the 2.6 kernel which we don't maitain. Can you please file a bug at http://bugme.osdl.org so that this can get fixed upstream? Thanks!
