Since updating to gentoo-sources-3* Kernels dvb-t stops working (with module dib0700) no Picture is show. I have tried it with vlc, mplayer2 and xine. The behavior of the players are different (in vlc if i change 10 times the channel i could see 1 time dvb-t, with mplayer2 and xine dvb-t works but after updating to gentoo-sources-3.1 mplayer2 and xine stops also working correctly with dvb-t. The only Error Message what i can grep is: "dib0700: tx buffer length is larger than 4. Not supported." This Message i could found at gentoo-sources-2.6.39-r3 to but there dvb-t is still working. On a x86_64 gentoo-sources-3* are the same Error Messages but there i can still watch dvb-t.(I havent tried gentoo-sources-3.1 on x86_64) There are many posts on different sites with this Error Message ("dib0700: tx buffer length is larger than 4. I want to try these patches but i don't know how to patch the modules - kernel (before i only have patched ebuilds) please give me a advise and i will try.
The patches works without warnings on gentoo-sources-3.1.0 to. After patching and rebuilding the kernel i can watch dvb-t again. The Error Message "dib0700: tx buffer length is larger than 4. Not supported." is already gone. Thanks for your help.

Yes this happens with gentoo-sources-3.1.0 + patches.(vlc works mplayer2+xine ups) With gentoo-sources-3.0.7 + patches vlc works perfect but the problems with mplayer2 and xine still persists.
Problems are only on x86 i386 kernels the x86_64 kernls made no problem with dibcom and vlc! long time i used vlc to view tv over dvb-t(with the kernel modules) and this works perfect. After updating to gentoo-sources-3.0.0 vlc was unable to view tv over dvb-t(if i changed 20 times the channel vlc view 1 or 2 times the programm). After that i tried some other programms to watch tv and i choose mplayer2 and xine witch worked perfect. Then comes the update to gentoo-sources-3.1.0 mplayer2 and xine made problems with dvb-t(every time they viewed programm 1 till 4 perfect but programm 5 till 9 failed every time. Programm 1-4 have the same Frequenz:498000000 and 5-9 also 578000000. Now vlc works perfect but mplayer2 and xine doesn't change their behavior. Now i tried the older kernels 3.0.6 and 3.0.7 without the path again vlc don't works and mplayer2 and xine which works previously with this sources perfect stops their work with programm 5 till 9.(maybe a update of a dependency has influence?) Then i tried 3.0.7 with the patch and vlc works perfect mplayer2 and xine are not able to view channel 5 till 9. Thanks for the patches. Furthermore vlc shows epg information at channels 1-4 and don't shows epg information at channels 5-9.
gentoo-sources-3.1.0-r1 brought no changes but since updating to gentoo-sources-3.1.2 vlc works perfect with dvb-t (without extra patches!) the epg problems at vlc is also solved. At the other part xine mplayer and mplayer2 have the same problems with dvb-t and dibcom.
Kernel issues appear to have been resolved with later versions.
