Currently versions in portage are snapshots.
There are several stable release versions, including 1.0.1 and 2.0.

Look at https://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw-w64/files/mingw-w64/mingw-w64-release/

mingw64-runtime-2.0.ebuild

Ebuild for mingw64 2.0 derived from the ones in portage. Works for me. Tested with a simple C++ program.

2.0.1 is out.
vapier - need to switch from snapshots to releases...
Solves problems for me.

mingw64-runtime-2.0.1 now in the tree and all snapshots dropped
