Emerge thunderbird with lightning. The add-on is deactivated: "Not compatible with thunderbird-7.0.1." Reproducible: Always
It seems to work fine for me. What version is displayed in the add-ons manager (Tools -> Add-ons)?
It says "Timezone Definitions for Mozilla Calendar 1.2011b (deactivated)". BTW: How can I uninstall such add-ons, or prevent its installation as a (non-root) user?
Does it work if you re-enable it? I'm running the same version here without a problem.
I'm sorry, but I see no way to re-enable it. There are no buttons for this add-on like for all other add-ons.
Ok, I will pass this along then.
I am experiencing the same problem as the original reporter: Timezone Definitions for Mozilla Calendar 1.2011b (disabled) appears at the bottom of my list of installed extensions, without any buttons for enabling, updating, or removing it. I also checked the right-click list; as with the other automatically-installed extensions, the Remove and Find Updates options were not present. In addition, Enable was not present (since this version is not compatible with Thunderbird 7.0.1), and Preferences was not present (since this extension has no preferences, at least while disabled). The remaining options, Show More Information and About, did not provide a means to modify the extension to possibly get a newer version. If there is additional information about my installation which would help debug this problem, I would be happy to oblige.
This is fixed in thunderbird-8.0. The add-on was deactivated after updating, but I could successfully enable it.
Thanks for confirming it is fixed in tb-8 and newer.
