Bug 387807 – app-crypt/pinentry-qt-0.5.0 does not hide passphrase

when I am asked to enter my passphrase instead of **** the passphrase is displayed in plain text.


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start thudnerbird
2. compose email (with "sign message selected")
3. send mail
---- pinentry asks for passphrase ----


Actual Results:  
passphrase is displayed in plain text

Expected Results:  
passphrase is displayed as ****

I just switched to xcfe lately and pinentry-qt was no longer sufficient in .gnupg/gpg-agent so I checked and installed pinentry-qt (I do not know why it 
worked before, maybe I removed it without noticing while switching to xfce...).

I wonder why pinentry-curses / pinentry-gtk-2 do not just work for me...

ps: I selected critical because anyone may loose his passphrase this way. However, it might just be a major in somebody elses opinion (especially because it is ~x86).

app-crypt/pinentry-qt is minimal pinentry for embedded systems, no normal system should have it installed.    i believe this more of an 'feature', than a 'bug'.

for normal qt4 pinentry, emerge pinentry with USE="qt4"
