Please bump synaptiks to 0.8. Apparently it fixes some suspend resume problems. In addition, it appears a copy from one version will not suffice since it depends on another package called kdedistutils which does not appear to be in the tree: https://github.com/lunaryorn/kdedistutils
kdedistutils is not bundled in the tarball from github for some strange reason. The author (Sebastien Wiesner) says that downloadable tarball is supposed to be retrieved from here instead: http://pypi.python.org/packages/source/s/synaptiks/synaptiks-0.8.0.tar.bz2#md5=e733de797abb65f46a06006363a4755a With this as the package page: http://pypi.python.org/pypi/synaptiks
Created attachment 289607 [details] synaptiks-0.8.0.ebuild This new ebuild retrieves the new version and compiles without issues.
Also note, that 2.7.2 should be stabilized to fix the ImportError: No module named DLFCN problem related to bug 374579 when running synaptiks.
Created attachment 289609 [details, diff] synaptiks-0.8.patch Here's a patch for 0.7 ebuild to bring it to 0.8.0.
Bumped, thanks! (In reply to comment #3) > Also note, that 2.7.2 should be stabilized to fix the ImportError: No module > named DLFCN problem related to bug 374579 when running synaptiks. Well, that only becomes a problem once we want to stable synaptiks-0.8. :)
