Description Mark Gilbert 2004-01-18 18:53:43 UTC
It fails to link because in pari-2.1.5/$objdir/Makefile PLOTLIBS is "-L -lX11" where it should be "-L/usr/X11R6/lib -lX11". In my case, $objdir is "0gnu-i686-pc-linux".
Changing that makefile line of course fixes the build, but I don't have a less volatile solution (ie, changing something like a configure argument or line instead of a generated platform specific makefile).
Also, it seems as though others do not experience this. I don't know what's different about my setup.

Note it also doesnt build with graphic=gnuplot, but builds fine with graphic=none (a very suboptimal workaround, I like my high res plots)

Could you please paste the actual error messages? I can not reproduce your problem, at least not with -r2.

No reaction. Closing.
