Thunderbird crashes as soon as I pressed "send" button in writing email. It happens when the funambol plugin (beta) is installed: http://maurus.net/resources/funambol/v1-0b4jm-tb7-dev5/ I know it is a beta version, but according to author it works well in Ubuntu 64bit. Moreover it happens to me both in a 64bit and in a 32bit machine. In consolle I see just "segmentation fault". I cannot immagine how funambol plugin can create problem sending email. I disabled all authomatic sync in funambol but the problem is still there. If I disable funambol plugin everything goes on well. Reproducible: Always
Well, that's weird but you have been warned to be using a beta plugin. Have you reported this to the developer? Please do (with as much information as you can give him/her). I don't know what that plugin is for, but certainly you may encounter differences in the way you compiled thunderbird and the way it's compiled for Ubuntu (besides the _whole_ distro). So, a good start may be to check for all requirements of the plugin (if any at all, else try asking the author about some specifics) and then recompile your thunderbird with different USE flags. Maybe the easiest part is just recompiling with all USE flags enabled, then disable all plugins but funambol, etc.

I had contacts syncing disabled (I use funambol just for calendar). I enabled contacts syncing, I set a default contact list. I disabled the contacts syncing and now it works fine. Thank you for all.
