ebuild has dependency on gcc which doesn't allow it to compile on default macos install of Gentoo Prefix. Solution is to do as has been done in other ebuilds and allow the dependency to be either on gcc or gcc-apple. With the fix it builds successfully and works in my applications. I'll attach a patch.
