At first I was seeing this in emerge.log: 1317528008: Started emerge on: Oct 02, 2011 06:00:07 1317528008: *** emerge --nospinner sync 1317528008: === sync 1317528008: >>> Starting rsync with rsync://195.241.77.98/gentoo-portage 1317528008: >>> Starting retry 1 of 1 with rsync://130.89.149.23/gentoo-portage 1317528028: === Sync completed with rsync://130.89.149.23/gentoo-portage 1317528087: *** terminating. 1317571208: Started emerge on: Oct 02, 2011 18:00:07 1317571208: *** emerge --nospinner sync 1317571208: === sync 1317571208: >>> Starting rsync with rsync://195.241.77.98/gentoo-portage 1317571208: >>> Starting retry 1 of 1 with rsync://130.89.149.23/gentoo-portage 1317571227: === Sync completed with rsync://130.89.149.23/gentoo-portage 1317571286: *** terminating. And since that looked quite regular, I did a bit of a test: $ rsync rsync://195.241.77.98/gentoo-portage . ############################################## ## Welcome to the Tiscali Rsync server..... ## ############################################## rsync.tiscali.nl is located at Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and is running on a Dell 2850 Server with 1 CPU, 3 GB Memory and approximately 1.4 TB storage. Bruce, can you fix this or provide an update?
We had a service disruption at September 29. Unfortunately, I was on holiday and nobody else noticed our mirror wasn't functioning properly. I have fixed this today, the mirror is now up to date and running again.
Thanks
