Description cheewahwah 2002-06-18 12:48:49 UTC
I followed the online documentation on how to install using the iso image and
boot from CD. Since my university requires a proxy server, I have set it by
configuring /etc/wget/wgetrc, which is documented in the guide. Works fine until
'emerge system' causes wget to be reinstalled and the config file got
over-written. You may want to consider asking the user to export the parameters
instead.

Also, there is no documentation on how to set proxy_user and proxy_passwd, which
may be needed by some proxy server.

I fixed this in the new install guide.
