Description Aquila 2004-01-17 08:34:53 UTC
When users install from a non-devfs distribution, /dev is mounted in chapter 6. But then it isn't umounted in 11.b, in fact the umount command there fails.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.try to run umount /mnt/gentoo/boot /mnt/gentoo/proc /mnt/gentoo from a non-devfs distro
Actual Results:
umount failed with a device busy error message

Expected Results:
We'd better mention the unmounting there too.

Thanks. I've added a sentence on unmounting /mnt/gentoo/dev.

most probably i'm blind, but i cannot find the step in chapter 6 where /dev is mounted. actually it's necessary at least for installing lilo. in the case i'm not blind the dev-mounting part should be added to the documentation.

We have removed all references to bind-mounting /dev: it wasn't needed, and we now only focus on the LiveCD/netboot installations too.

I've removed the unmounting of /dev, I've forgotten to remove that part.
