Description poncho 2011-09-30 10:02:52 UTC
Screen always goes blank after 10 minutes

% gsettings list-recursively org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power | grep display
org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power sleep-display-ac 1800
org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power sleep-display-battery 1800

% xset q | grep -A4 DPMS
DPMS (Energy Star):
  Standby: 600 Suspend: 600 Off: 600
  DPMS is Enabled
  Monitor is On

to set the scree blanking to 30min I have to run
% xset dpms 1800 1800 1800
which works fine.

It seems that gnome-settings-daemon doesn't honor the dconf values.

Reproducible: Always

I suspect this may be fixed in gnome-settings-daemon-3.2.0-r1, please check.

(Note: you will need to log out and log back in after updating gnome-settings-daemon)

I can still reproduce this issue with gnome-settings-daemon-3.2.0-r1
Comment 4 Alexandre Rostovtsev (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-10-04 04:09:43 UTC
Fixed in the overlay by gnome-settings-daemon-3.2.0-r2 and gnome-desktop-3.2.0-r1

Thanks for reporting!
