Being in the tree from March 2011. No bug on that version. app-misc/geneweb-5.01 (old stable) is no more buildable Reproducible: Always
emerged ok. Would not start # /etc/init.d/geneweb start Source is depend() { need net } archtester xen-tools # rc-status ....................... net.wlan0 [ inactive ] geneweb [ crashed ] archtester xen-tools # ifconfig eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 1c:6f:65:ad:eb:1e inet addr:10.1.1.9 Bcast:10.1.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 lo Link encap:Local Loopback inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0 wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:11:95:e9:b2:b7 inet addr:10.1.1.10 Bcast:10.1.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 This is likely an oddity with my net setup. The /etc/init.d/geneweb wants net.wlan0 to have been started, mine is started but registered in active. Likely next tester will have no prob.
amd64: emerge pass daemon runs with this warning. geneweb | * WARNING: -c/--chuid is deprecated and will be removed in the future, please use -u/--user instead change -c with -u in /etc/init.d/geneweb. I do not know how to access it though.

@tupone Thank you for the fast reply, your submissions worked. The warning is gone, I have accessed the page, the language is in Italian if I'm not mistaken. I don't know how to work with the interface. As far as I'm concerned this package works. amd64: pass
amd64: re-emerged in my gentoo vm. All smooth. the init.d script started straight away. The few command lines I tried were effective. All aok
(In reply to comment #4) > the language is in Italian if I'm not mistaken. I can take care of this ;)
Sorry. I had to make a patch to fix runtime errors on amd64. Please test after re-syncing.
amd64 : Ok
