Description andy 2004-01-16 15:38:30 UTC
I've put up a portage rsync server. Server details are:
host: mirrors.benow.ca
ip: 69.0.221.45
network: multi-homed tier 1
box: celeron 1.7/512M/120G
contact: andy@benow.ca

I've created the cron jobs to sync every half hour (:00/:30) and it seems to be working well.

The server is located in the 'States (hosted by interland.com down in Florida), despite the .ca address.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

you have been added to the rsync.ca and rsync.namerica rotation. you are rsync7.ca.gentoo.org. please tell your server to pull updates from rsync1.us.gentoo.org from now on.

thanks for helping out.

The server ip has changed

old ip: 69.0.221.45
new ip: 209.25.160.104

The hostname et al remains the same, but I'm being rejected from the new ip. Sorry for lack of warning.

Removed mirror from rotations. Removed rsync1.us acccess for
69.0.221.45 and added access for 209.25.160.104. You should
be able to sync within 30 minutes.

Post back when the mirror is syncing, and I'll add it back to
the rotations.

Thanks.

Mirror looks good, sorry for the delay. You have been added back into the rsync.ca.gentoo.org rotation. Thanks for the hardware and the bandwidth!
