as taken from the Kmplayer homepage:
 MPlayer-1.0pre3 is out and unfortunately breaks KMPlayer's stream identifying (typically done for watching inside Konqueror/KHTML). This is fixed in CVS, but you can also use this patch for 0.8.1a (apply with patch -p0 < for_mplayer-1.0pre3.diff in the kmplayer/src directory).

KMPlayer 0.8.2 is in ~x86 now, can you try if this fixes this Bug?

this is fixed in the 0.8.2 version so I think this can go to stable :)

Hi! did you forgot kmplayer in x86???
I've been using it and found zero problems....
Why is not in stable yet???
