okay, I marked all of these either ~alpha or alpha. I think you got something mixed up for gkrellmmss. You say that 2.1.13 builds and runs, but the only version is 2.3. On the next line you say that fftw built but you can't test because gkrellmss didn't build...? Anyway, I marked gkrellmmss ~alpha
gkrellmss is different than gkrellmms. One is a xmms gkrell plugin, the other is a vu meter and sound chart.
gkrellshoot, with install of imagemagick and xscreensaver works just fine.
