Attached please find an updated ebuild for PDL version 2.4.1. I also took the liberty of changing the existing 2.4.0-r1 ebuild to allow the package to autodetect things such as openGL, GSL, etc. It now pulls the package from sourceforge mirrors and the home page points at the main page for PDL. Unfortunately, I could not make it build the curses IO Browser.

it installs out of the box :D

the only thing i noticed is, that help and apropos do not work in perldl

Working on a cleaned version. Looks like the GSL patch isn't needed, and opengl
builds properly now. Need to track down a few more fixes (like site_perl should
be vendor_perl in the ebuild). Will post once this is clean and in portage :)

In portage with docs fixed, opengl support back, and gls patch built in
