Description Farrel Lifson 2004-01-15 01:48:50 UTC
Refers to this bug as well http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38198

I am doing an emerge -uU world which is busy updating GNOME 2.4 to 2.4.1. A few packages (including the link above) terminate if the 'doc' flag is set. So far this has happened with gStreamer 0.6.4 as well.

A possible solution is to just USE="-doc" emerge -uU world, which is what I am doing at the moment.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -uU world with USE="doc" set
2.
3.

Actual Results:
emerge terminates witha 'can't stat .html/somefile' (similar to the one in the
link mentioned)

Expected Results:
installed and carried on emerge'ing

I created a new bug report as this seems to be over a number of packages not
just libgail

Please attach your full build log.

GNOME team, I'm taking this, we know it's a catalogs problem.
