I'd like to mentor Chris as a new Gentoo developer. He'd like to add and maintain LTTNG and has expressed interest in working on crossdev and embedded areas as well. He's currently working through the ebuild quiz.
I will be your recruiter. Please send your quizzes to recruiters@gentoo.org when approved by your mentor. Always add a comment to this bug when you send something to that address. When the quizzes are sent please contact me by IRC or email to schedule the first review session. If you think that recruiters aren't paying attention to this bug at any later point in time, it's your job to ping us on IRC if you don't want any delays. Also please let the related developers/hers (crossdev and embedded area) ack on his support.
Quiz is almost done. I know it's taken a ridiculous amount of time to complete. Please rest assured that lack of time spent on the quiz was replaced with either Gentoo or embedded related development. When I take a day to hack at code I do so until I can't keep my eyes open any longer, which makes it hard to justify replacing a minute of that time answering questions on a quiz.
Can you give me a status update?
(In reply to comment #3) > Can you give me a status update? Still alive. Working on non-gentoo stuff atm, so I got distracted. I'm still on this.
just tell us, when you are prepared, i will for now move you back into the queue.
I submitted a first draft of the quiz. Need to make some corrections.
I recently joined an amateur orchestra and I've had to set aside a few hobbies, including wanting to become a gentoo developer. I'll hang onto my ebuild quiz, since I can't imagine using another distro. Maybe in a few years I'll try again. Sorry :S

Enjoy your new hobby :) Closing as WONTFIX. re-open when you are ready
