When I run kbuildsycoca4, I get the following kbuildsycoca4(7869)/kdecore (services) KServicePrivate::init: The desktop entry file "/usr/share/applications/kde4/koffice.desktop" has Type= "Application" but no Exec line. Equery says that file belongs to koffice-libs. Checking the ebuild, I don't see anything that would add such a file, so I checked upstream. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=273766 (URL field also). Here's what the author of the file, Burkhard Lueck, states in that bug: I added this desktop file years ago to make the KOffice documentation visible in KHelpcenter. The KOffice documentation was removed in koffice, but is still renamed to calligra/doc/calligra/index.docbook in calligra. The doc is about 1.5.0, outdated and most stuff does no longer valid for calligra. I'd suggest to rm koffice.desktop, calligra/doc/calligra/. Until that presumably happens in a new version, can the ebuild simply remove it? Duncan
The desktop file is not present anymore in calligra, the old docs are. For calligra, let's have upstream fix this. koffice - later
Arches, please stabilize app-office/koffice-libs-2.3.3-r1 Only minimal testing is required; the only change is that the ebuild does not install one buggy .desktop file anymore. Target: amd64 x86
amd64: emerges and a couple of koffice apps. All good
amd64: pass.
