New developer with gentoo-x86 tree access - Agostino Sarubbo (ago) Agostino comes from Cosenza, Italy; he studies computer science at the University of Calabria. Many of you already know him from IRC with his nickname "ago", as Agostino has been supporting the amd64 team constantly for a year already (and sometimes x86 too) as Arch Tester and recently also as advisor for new ATs. In his free time he helps already for a long time on the Italian forum, and with bug-wrangling and various help/tests/patches for some developers. Among tests and other things, in a year, he has contributed to many hundreds of bug reports. Ago has interests in system administration, hardening and security, and would like to join in the near future - docs-team to take care of Italian documentation; - forums as a moderator for specific language; - bug wranglers to continue to help. Recently he has also started helping the security team as a scout with Tim's (underling) supervision. This he would like to continue, being mentored for the security team. As herds, he wants join the amd64 team as a full member (angelos is CC'ed as one of the amd64 team leads). I'll mentor Agostino, he has helped me many times, and when he's become a dev I'm pretty sure the amd64 stabilization queue will shrink to nothingness immediately. ;) Real name: Agostino Sarubbo Nick: ago E-mail: ago@autistici.org Location: Cosenza, Italy Mentor: dilfridge
I am happy to endorse Agostino; I have worked with him on the AMD64 team. He has forayed into ebuild territory with great success, particularly EAPI 4 ports & QA patching. Do let me know if I can be of any assistance.
I agree with all of these compliments below, as an amd64 AT (and not only) he did (in fact still does) solid, accurate and fast work. [OT] Im pretty sure our AT job (ok not mine, I am not an AT yet) is going to suck for a while without him :) [/OT] All my best Tomáš Pružina

Agostino has been providing a lot of (good quality) updates on the IT documentation translations. Joshua and I would like him to get CVS access to the documentation repo

ago's CVS perms should be /doc/it/ access only, as is our policy for translators working in their area. thanks!
this should now be fixed; he has full access to the translators section of /doc/. thx antarus!
