You have broken catalogs most likely, please post /etc/xml/catalog and /etc/xml/docbook, or if you'd prefer to just go ahead and fix it do: rm /etc/xml/{catalog,docbook} emerge libxml2 emerge docbook-xsl-stylesheets emerge =docbook-xml-dtd-4.1.2-r4 =docbook-xml-dtd-4.2 Thanks.
